Rev. John Stephen Grimm received the Licentiate in Sacred Theology (STL). The STL is a Pontifical degree, granted by the Holy See, and is the second of three advanced theological degrees, the first being the Bachelor of Sacred Theology (STB) and the third being the Doctorate in Sacred Theology (STD).  Fr.
